19th European Day of Miners and Metallurgists

On 12-14 June 2026 , the town of Příbram will be the venue of an important event - the 30th Meeting of Mining Towns and Municipalities of the Czech Republic. The jubilee edition of this traditional event will take place at the same time as the 19th European Day of Miners and Metallurgists, and it is expected that 1,500 guests from the Czech Republic and abroad will come to the town.

The Meeting of Mining Towns and Municipalities is a social and cultural event that since 1997 has brought together towns, municipalities, associations and individuals whose history or present is related to mining. Příbram is the cradle of this tradition - it has hosted all the jubilee meetings (1st, 10th, 20th) and in 2026 it will welcome participants for the 30th edition.

The aim of the event is to present Příbram as a town proud of its mining past, which actively commemorates it and thus transmits its legacy to future generations. Visitors can look forward to a rich programme combining mining traditions, ceremonies and cultural performances.

11.00 - 12.30 Grand Mining Parade on T. G. Masaryk Square
12.30 - 13.30 Ceremony

16.00 Programme at Březové Hory and in the premises of the Mining Museum Příbram
17.00 Cultural programme on J. A. Alise Square and in the premises of Marie Mine
18.00 Presentation of the Czech Permon award in the Church of St. Vojtěch

Sunday 14 June 2026 - Following the trail of stories and monuments
Excursions and tours of the town and its surroundings

The event will be accompanied by a cultural programme for the general public.
