Swing
At the top of the bare hill (794 m) stands the German Observatory.
The nature trail takes you through the natural wealth of the area, which was created by decades of intensive military exploitation. The panels and boards are supplemented with QR codes that expand the information on each topic - for example, the history of the infantry test cabin CE Jordan, the so-called Benesak. If the weather is good, you can see the peaks of the Ore Mountains, Milešovka, Říp, Křivoklát, the Bohemian Karst, the southern edge of Prague or even Ještěd.
The nature trail can be reached on foot or by bicycle; individual stops can be passed in any order. You can choose where you get on the trail and how many stops you will see. The Jordán trailhead can be reached by following the green and blue trail markers from Zaječov, the yellow trail from the U Bílého křížek crossroads and the red trail from Tok.
As Brdy is a remote and rugged landscape, it may happen that the mobile operator signal needed to display the content of the QR codes will not be available at all stops. Often, after scanning the QR code, it is enough to walk a few steps and the content will be displayed. The former target and impact area (CP) of the artillery and aviation firing range in the Mt. Jordan area includes, among other things, a large number of bunkers (approximately 9) in various states of preservation, air crash memorials, a fire tank, and offers excellent views of the region. Access only on marked paths.
