War Memorial

Authentically preserved prison complex, unique in Central Europe. Originally a prison camp for German prisoners of war, situated among former uranium mines, it served as a forced labour camp between 1949 and 1951 and then as a prison facility for political opponents of the communist regime until 1961. The exhibitions introduce the persecution after February 1948, the anti-communist resistance and the history of uranium mining.
