Antonín Dvořák Memorial

The chateau complex in Vysoká u Příbram, built in 1878 by Dvořák's brother-in-law Count Václav Kounic (architect Čeněk Gregor), is open to the public all year round. The newest exhibition from 1994 presents the personalities of the original owners, the Kounics, and a larger part informs visitors about the life, work and stay of Antonín Dvořák in Vysoká.

There is a concert hall and a library in the chateau, and the newly opened Václav Kounic Gallery is used for short-term exhibitions. In 1997, the memorial took part in the final of the European Museum of the Year Award in Lausanne, Switzerland.
