Josef Štola

The Josef Adit is a horizontal underground work (a complex of tunnels and adit tunnels on the Čelina and Mokrsko deposits with a total length of almost 10 km). In addition to the horizontal access without the need for pharming, other advantages are the variety of non-monotonic geological formations, natural ventilation combined with forced ventilation and accessibility from Prague (60 km). The Josef adit is part of the extensive Josef Underground Laboratory complex, which offers accompanying facilities (accredited laboratory, workshops, administrative building).
