Dobris Castle

The chateau is an important landmark of Dobříš. Its current rococo appearance dates back to 1745-1765, when the reconstruction was carried out by Jindřich Pavel Mansfeld. His daughter Isabella was married to František Gundakar Colloredo. Thus, the noble family Colloredo - Mannsfeld was established, which stayed here until 1942, when the castle was expropriated by the German Reich and then in 1945 confiscated by the Czechoslovak state and used as a home for writers. The current owner of the castle is Dipl. Ing. Jerome Colloredo-Mannsfeld from Austria.
