Orlik Castle
The castle lying today almost at the water surface could really evoke this idea, but only until the Orlik dam filled up. The royal castle was founded in the second half of the 13th century and underwent several reconstructions over time. The last Neo-Gothic one took place in the 19th century under the auspices of the owners from the prominent Schwarzenberg family. The family museum is dedicated to its representative K. I. Schwarzenberg. The historic interiors present valuable period furnishings and collections. During the tour you will admire period furniture, paintings, porcelain, a number of hunting trophies and orders won by the previous owners for various merits. You will reach the private part of the building, where everything is left in the state in which the family must have left the castle in the past. An English park has been built next to the castle, which contains many rare trees and also the pseudo-Gothic Schwarzenberg tomb.
